I added a basic mod player to the Delphi OpenAL site. It sounds horrible. I could use some help with that. For the moment i do not care about mod files using effects as even mod files without effects sound wrong. Some freshs looks at the mod player may give some ideas how to fix things.
aiaiai... i used a tracker many years (now, fruityloops works it) and i know that writing a modplayer is hard!!!!!!!!!
if you want to code a demo using modsounds, its more simple cause you only use the functions you need within the demo. but there are many resources all over the net which will help you to add the most needed functions/effekts

if the Delphi timer is not good enough for your plans look for "Queryperformanecounter" or "GetTickcount"...
at least the queryperfomrancecounter is more precis than the Delphitimer im not sure anout the other, but one method should be enough

More specific i need a timer that is pc speed independent. The mod player plays somewhat ok at my pc. But at the pc of a friend of mine it plays at half the speed.

I did a large rewrite on the modplayer. I use the pitch command again to change note values. Somehow the few effects i use still do not sound good. If anyone has some ideas... please let me know.
