Im wondering if there is any decent sound libaries other than OpenAL (Which sucks. Crashes when you try and use the Windows Generic USB audio driver) and FMOD (Which can screw up sound if another sound device is playing, i.e when i had a 56k modem it use to be able to play its 'tune' through the speakers, which screwed up FMOD. Also if ur Hard drive 'thrashes' FMOD's currently playing sound can jitter until its over). |

An interesting question. I've never progged audio apps. But I heard from "bass". I don't know if it's able to play 3D sounds. May this thread could be used to collect information about (free) sound libraries. (and of course about problems with them...) |
