I think meLODy supports 3DS.
You can download it somwhere from nVidia, but it didn't run on my system (still using Win98).

Melody is only for generating normalmaps using a high-quality mesh and a low-poly one. I didnt find a function to decrease/increase the LOD. @AL: It needs a modern graphis-card (GF 5 [???] or GF 6), too. |
